Tire classification:

Bias tire (BIASTIRE)

Radial tire (RADIALTIRE)

Summer tires (SUMMERTIRE)

This kind of tire is used for spring, summer and autumn with temperatures above 0°. In order to be able to display excellent maneuverability and braking performance on wet and dry roads, it is required to have a large contact area with the ground to increase the friction between the tire and the ground. Therefore, a simple block pattern is often used in the tread design to increase the contact surface with the ground. Moreover, in order to enhance the drainage performance on a wet road surface, the grooves are mostly linear in the circumferential direction. Tires that do not have special seasonal signs are summer tires.

All-day tires (ALLSEASONTIRE)

This type of tire combines the characteristics of snow tires and summer tires, and its pattern is more complicated than summer tires. In order to be able to exert superior braking and handling performance on snow, snow tires have more fine grooves than summer tires, but all-weather tires cannot perform braking performance 100% on low temperature and snow surfaces, so It is safer to use special snow tires in the area.

3 Reasonable use of tires

3.1 Control the temperature of the tire

The temperature of the tires is extremely important for mining vehicles. Due to the load, the sidewall is stretched and compressed, and the flexure and extension between the cords inside the carcass, the friction between the tread and the road surface, and frequent braking when driving downhill, cause the tire temperature to rise. The increase of the tire temperature has a great influence on the service life of the tire. It can promote the aging of the rubber to crack, reduce its physical function, and produce separation between the layers of the ply, shortening the service life.

In order to prevent the tire from being used at a higher temperature, causing early damage to the tire, foreign tire manufacturers have established a method of selecting the tire according to the conditions of use and the TKPH value of the tire. The TKPH value of the tire is an indicator that reflects the relationship between the factors causing the temperature rise of the tire, and indicates the heat generation limit of the tire, which is used to limit the working condition of the tire. The purpose is to make the tires do not appear high temperature during use to extend the service life; the load on the tire is used, and the driving speed is limited to the range of the working ability of the tire. Therefore, each type of tire has a defined load speed limit, the TKPH value. As long as the tire is selected according to the TKPH value, the service life can be effectively extended.

3.2 standard inflation pressure

Inflating without the standard air pressure specified by the tire is one of the main causes of early wear and damage of the tire. The tire pressure is affected by the tire's service life.

(1) When the tire is used under low air pressure, its radial deformation causes a large deformation stress and deformation of the cord in the tire body, which accelerates the fatigue damage of the cord. When the air pressure rolls, it will cause a sharp rise in the tire temperature, and the relative sliding between the tire and the ground will increase. The heat generated by the friction will increase, and the tire temperature will increase, which will cause partial delamination of the tire and slack of the cord. When the air pressure is too low, the contact area between the tire and the ground is increased to lower the contact pressure, and the shoulder wear is large, and the tread wear is small. The tread pattern recess is most likely to be inserted into the stone under low air pressure, causing mechanical damage.

(2) If the tire pressure is too high, the cord of the tire will be excessively stretched, which will accelerate the fatigue process of the cord. When the air pressure is too high, the grounding area of the tire becomes smaller, the tread pressure at the grounding portion increases, and the wear in the middle portion of the tread is accelerated.

4. Scientific management of tires

Reasonable and correct management and use of tires, timely maintenance and repair of tires, maximizing the service life of tires, reducing transportation costs and improving economic efficiency of enterprises are of great significance.

4.1 Management of tires

(1) Equipped with professionals to improve various management systems. The assembly, disassembly, repair and maintenance of tires is a relatively professional job, and it is also a high-risk type of work. Therefore, personnel engaged in tire repair must be professionally trained, and personnel with certain maintenance techniques can perform tire repair operations.

(2) Acceptance and storage of tires. After the tire arrives at the scene, it is necessary to designate a special person to carry out inspection and acceptance to ensure that the quality of each new tire meets the requirements. The storage of the tires is critical to ensure the quality of the tires. If the tires are exposed to the outside for a long time, the rubber of the tires will age rapidly and the service life of the tires will be greatly reduced. (5) Strengthen the maintenance of roads. The quality of the road directly affects the service life of the tire. First of all, the indicators of mine roads must meet the prescribed standards, the angle of the ramp, the curvature of the turning, the arching degree of the road surface, and so on. Then there is the investment in road maintenance equipment to strengthen the responsibility of the driver of the grader and the rubber wheel bulldozer. It is especially important to maintain the parking space (shovel) and the maintenance of the dump site.

4.2 Maintenance of tires

(1) Grasp the routine maintenance, air pressure test, etc. Check the appearance of the tire daily and find that the small stone is taken in time to remove it; avoid the stone from sticking or causing partial cut and peeling; keep the standard pressure value of the tire in cold condition.

(2) Adjustment of the toe. The normality of the front of the truck is important. If the front beam is not normal, it will cause partial sharp wear of the two front wheels. The so-called front beam is not normal, that is, the two front wheels are not parallel, that is, the shape of the eight characters and the outer eight characters in the front wheel that people often say. The consequence of this is that the tires are eccentric and the tires are scrapped in advance. Therefore, it is necessary to frequently test the depth of the pattern on both sides of the two front tires, and find that the wear is abnormal, and adjust the toe in time.

(3) Transposition of tires. Use the tires to give full play to the value of each tire. After the tires are used for a certain period of time, they must be properly transposed to make the tread evenly worn. In the mine, especially the front wheel shift is more important and involves safety. Generally, the front wheel pattern can be changed after using about 40% of the new tire. The height difference between the two old tires assembled on the rear wheel should not exceed 15mm, and the tires of the same manufacturer should be assembled together.

5. Safety precautions for tire use

A tire filled with gas at a specified pressure is equivalent to a high-pressure vessel. If a sudden release of gas is caused, an explosion will occur, which may cause damage to equipment or personnel. Therefore, when repairing the tires, strictly follow the tire maintenance safety operation procedures, and strictly observe the following safety precautions.

(1) Personnel performing tire repairs must undergo professional pre-job training, and they can be employed after they have passed the training.

(2) There must be 2 or more people in the tire repair to carry out the work.

(3) Appropriate labor protection articles must be worn when performing tire repairs.

(4) When carrying out tire repair work, it should be carried out in the divided safe working area, the site is smooth and stable, and away from the elevated line and vehicle pedestrians.

(5) The vehicle for tire repair must be completely unloaded, notify the driver to brake, turn off the fire, and start work after listing.

(6) When handling twin-tire stones, the twins must be deflated before being disposed of.

(7) When replacing the cracked retaining ring or rim, even the inner tire must be deflated.

(8) When installing the repaired tire, the tire patch is not allowed to be installed on the outer side of the tire, and one side cannot be installed at the same time.

(9) The two tires assembled on the rear wheel must be the same manufacturer and the same type of tire.
